Wow, no matter how many times I take the picture with my iPhone, these colors just won't show. I believe it's time to start using a real camera!
At any rate, this card was made for the Outlawz Color Challenge using Aqua, Lilac and a gentle Blue. Believe or not, this card has all three and actually is quite pretty in person.
I will be sending this to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day and entering it in this challenge and in Word Art Wednesday also.
And I HOPE for better pictures in the immediate future!
Well, well, look at the difference a camera makes. I may re-do that sentiment to make it a little more readable, but you can surely see these colors now!
The background paper is my homemade paper that I used dye on for the first time. I have a slew of different purples in my possession currently and since my mom-in-law loves purple, this will pass for her.
A friend taught me how to make paper. With the paper I joined a group to learn to produce cards. I will share cards I make and if I become really good :) I will share techniques and tips.

Strawberry Time
We just returned from a trip to Atlanta and although the strawberries are done for now in central and south Florida, there were several signs for U-Pick along the way up and down I-75.
So for the mfp challenge "Use Only the Center" on mfpstampshop.blogspot.com I decided to make strawberries the central figures with matching pinks to bring it together.
The card stock and background paper is my pink home made paper with seeds inside.

Watercolor
I've been playing with watercolors lately and thought I would post the first card that has been completed. I hope to do more with the pictures I've created but this is a start.
The sentiment didn't stamp on correctly due to the base being watercolor paper so I had to go back over it with a good pen. The cardstock is my homemade light brown paper.
I will enter this on a new site called Creative Card Crew that I found online. They have a new challenge every 2 weeks. The current challenge calls for using a sentiment on the card. They have quite a following so I thought I'd join in.
I'll also enter this at Word Art Wednesday, one of my favorites to join.

Scripture Cards
I really love the website for Word Art Wednesday. Each week they post a new scripture and allow 5 entries. The theme is anything goes, but I try to use the scripture in a card and then add some of my other cards too.
This is for the challenge which ends tonight. So almost late, but I just made it! I made this one pretty clean and simple.

Spring Is Here!
Lately, I've been up and down, up and down, and up and down, I-75 between Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. I especially love traveling this time of year to see the constant changes in the landscape. Many trees were damaged by the ice and snow this year but the sweet little leaves are budding out on the trees. The dogwoods are looking very pretty as well as the flowering pear and cherry trees. Forsythia, Wisteria, daffodils, tulips...ooo, they are all sooo pretty!
For this card I used my yellow handmade cardstock, white and yellow ribbon, and a sparkly blue background for the flowers (which isn't showing very well). I also colored matching blue between the flowers which you can't see. Sigh.
I created this card using the spring theme (how could I not?!) and followed the Outlawz new sketch this week. This card will be entered in the:

Happy Easter
We have good news don't we? Christ died for us!
For our Easter celebration, Bob and I will be driving to Atlanta to spend some time with friends and family. It will be a pretty quick trip, but I'm almost always ready to go north for these special times.
This card was produced using a spring flower background paper that I used an embossing folder on plus some added sparkle, antique lace and a cross (thank you Lis!). I was able to make enough cards for all family members.
And for our friends in Tampa, the second card was one I couldn't resist casing from a cartoon I saw. I probably should have made the chocolate bunnies darker, but it still turned out cute.
Enjoy and have a blessed Easter!

Birthday Fishes
I love it when a card comes together and is funny and cute! This is for a dear friend in Atlanta for next week. I intended to enter it into a couple of challenges, but just don't have the time right now.
But I wanted to share it for the fun. I had one fish and drew the others using it as a pattern and for coloring. Now that I sent the fish off, I'll have to be on the look out another one. :)
