A milestone Birthday! Colors-purple, green, yellow Challenge

This background paper was made in the same session using the alcohol inks and shaving cream in a large, aluminum pan and a scrapper. Who ever comes up with these ideas is truly amazing!

My mother-in-law is turning 85 next week and we are fortunate we get to go spend the day with her to celebrate next week. For those of you that are fortunate enough to still have a mom to celebrate with, be sure to take advantage of the opportunities!

Color Challenge- Purple, Green and Yellow

This sounds like an odd combination of colors. I was struggling with how to achieve this until I remembered some home made background paper that Lis and I made last summer using Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks and shaving cream. The results were very pretty as you can see in my card. This card is for our going to be 8 year old grandson, Kaleb. I have the most fun making his cards!

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 213

This is such a fun way to make a card. There are no mistakes, only creations!

It uses a masking tape technique. For instructions and tutorial click on Mark's Finest Papers, highlight Challenges with the curser and click on Speedy Fox and Friends. Who knew using masking tape could be fun! I used the tape directly on my homemade paper. In person the colors are perfect. This picture doesn't show the contrast as well. On regular card stock this method works great.

Color Challenge - Yellow, Green and Blue

I am trying another Challenge with Mark's Finest Papers. This one uses the colors Yellow, Green and Blue. This card uses an embossed stamp, embossing folders and a touch of bling and natural inspiration.

Inspiration Challenge #64: Bicycles and Bouquets

This is my first attempt at entering a Challenge with Mark's Finest Papers! And here is my card...

The bicycle was created using a stamp from Technique Tuesday and embossing powder. I also used the Honeycomb and Swiss Dot embossing folders by Cuttlebug. And thinking of you is from a Fiskars set called All Year Greetings. (I don't own anything by mfp yet :) But I hope to win a set of stamps one day!
