I'm not sure this will ever be my favorite way to emboss. :)Mark's Finest Papers has a nice Challenge which asks for white embossing on craft paper. Simple enough, unless you don't have white embossing powder and when you go out and get the powder, it turns more silver than white. (It's name is snow, hmmm).
But the effects are fun and pretty so here is one card for the challenge. It only took 2 devices and about 10 pictures to find one that allows you to see the embossing. I tried a little tweaking with the 'Yummm' stamp in bending it below the cup. I think it turned out cute.
I'm going to make a few more on different colored craft paper to see if I can indeed get the white snow look.
HUMMMMMMMM I used that SNOW for my Mushroom ......Don't know why you are having such a hard time ,perhaps my kraft paper is darker , in any case thank you for sharing at MFP SFF and good luck.....Lis
ReplyDeleteDoes your embossing powder say it is translucent? If so, you will never get the bright white you are looking for with it. The silvery look is very pretty, though!!!

I had the same problem with the embossing powder. Pearl is also more silver than white. Go figure? I really like the CAS layout and the curving for the YUMMM sentiment. Thanks for sharing at MFP's Speedy Fox and Friends.
