Cling Wrap Challenge 104

This was a lot of fun...messy, but still fun! I used the tutorial demonstrated by Lis Robson on the Turtorial Time on Speedy TV Challenge. You can find it here: http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/page/tutorial-time-on-speedy-tv-challenge-104. My card turned out dark but was very pretty and the recipient was thrilled. I used local floral adornments. I do that when it is possible. Hope you enjoy this one.

Wolf, wolf...

Here is another new Challenge site I found. It looks like a lot of fun so I will join in this week. The site is a blog called "Tuesday Throwdown." The link is http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.com/.

This week's Challenge is #199...Special Man. Here is my card:

The inside says "and have a Happy Birthday!" This was created using the dryer sheet method. The blue cardstock is my handmade paper, the rest is created using store cardstock.

Fowers and Bugs!

This week's Sketch Challenge with a twist from Mark's Finest Papers (http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com) is to make a card for a child. I think its even harder to do this than to make one for a guy! Inside the card is a Happy Birthday.

A little sparkle and whimsy and here you are!

MFP - Color Challenge: Red, Blue, Pink

Some of these challenges apparently bring different images to my mind than Mark's Finest Papers' design team, haha! I opened my stamp drawer and this just drew me in. :-)

Inside the card says: "Wishing You Well!" I laugh whenever I see the stamp so this will be my laugh for the week! Be sure to visit http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com.

Sketch Challenge

I haven't tried this one before. This is for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge. It has a Scripture to use but anything really goes. Here is my entry.

The Scripture is from Word Art Wednesday at: http://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 214

This Challenge is for something Vintage. This is one of my favorite looks to create, send, receive, look at...well you get the picture. I made a card for 2 sister's-in-law that just moved in to a new condo together. The second card is using a 50's sewing pattern front using the fussy cutting method.

I hope you enjoy them both.

Simple Salutations Challenge

I found I am like millions of others that walk along the sea shore and pick up dozens of shells...every time I can! I decided to create a card using the flattest of the shells and came up with this card for the Challenge this week which is for a Beachy theme.

This card would require an extra stamp to mail and is a bit bulky, but I like the colors! I hope it makes you think of the beach!

Be sure to visit Mark's Finest Papers at http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/ for more information on this challenge.

A milestone Birthday! Colors-purple, green, yellow Challenge

This background paper was made in the same session using the alcohol inks and shaving cream in a large, aluminum pan and a scrapper. Who ever comes up with these ideas is truly amazing!

My mother-in-law is turning 85 next week and we are fortunate we get to go spend the day with her to celebrate next week. For those of you that are fortunate enough to still have a mom to celebrate with, be sure to take advantage of the opportunities!

Color Challenge- Purple, Green and Yellow

This sounds like an odd combination of colors. I was struggling with how to achieve this until I remembered some home made background paper that Lis and I made last summer using Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks and shaving cream. The results were very pretty as you can see in my card. This card is for our going to be 8 year old grandson, Kaleb. I have the most fun making his cards!
