This card took some thought. I started with the frame and worked the rest in. I'm trying to clean up, clear out, and use stored 'for that special card' items.
The waterfall is from a walk in the woods in Big Canoe, Georgia. One of my most special places to visit now. We lived there for almost 5 years and it's beautiful.
I will enter this in the mfp Inspiration Challenge #86. The inspiration is pictures of Shabby Chic Bedrooms. I think the serenity of the scenes made me go this way. I do like the simplicity of the decor. The yellow, pink background is from a shaving
cream/alcohol inks session a few years ago so the only thing new is the
popped up saying.
A friend taught me how to make paper. With the paper I joined a group to learn to produce cards. I will share cards I make and if I become really good :) I will share techniques and tips.
Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Feeling better I hope
There are a number of new challenges on the 'table' so I've made one card for 3 of them.
This card will be sent to our sister in Atlanta that is recuperating from a hip replacement. She loves her kitties so it was the perfect image. I used some bright red paper I made last year for the card base and a torn piece as an accent.
I will enter this in the mfp Color Challenge #45. The colors call for red, black and grey.
I will also enter this in the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge. This will be my first time to enter their challenge and I'll see how it works.
While I'm at it, I think I'll put this on the WordArtWednesday challenge too.
So can this be considered multi-tasking?? HA! I hope you like this card.

All Sewed Up
Soo, I made this card to submit on 3 different challenges and 2 have disappeared. This means center stage goes to WordArtWednesday!
I love creating cards with the scripture and my goal is to be more faithful each week to participate. I believe I'll have to start a new stack of scripture cards. Cool right??
The print is a little fuzzy to read so it says "Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning for in Thee do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk for I lift my soul unto Thee. Psalm 143:8
The effect is for a pair of jeans with a pocket adorned with the saying and a butterfly can be removed but is sitting ready to fly.

I admit, This Is Fun!
I am on a roll today. I love the scenes created on the cards for the MFP Friends of Speedy TV #148 Challenge and created my own scene to participate.
Some of this is watercolor, some is pen and ink and some is stamps. I LOVE the way it turned out and will have to make a few more for my stash. What you can't see from this picture is that I used my shimmer watercolors and so there is a very subtle sparkle to the background.
I cased this card idea from Pinterest.
It's a New Year!
Told you I was moving on! So we're already in the first full week of January 2015. I've looked over the changes on the Mark's Finest Papers website and blog and like what I see. Be sure to visit them to see all the fun cards and ideas they offer.
This Challenge is the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge # 243 and it calls for a patchwork look. I made the patchwork on one half of the card and used a matching light green on the other half using Oil Pastels and a little oil to rub it around. Unfortunately, the green really isn't showing up, but it looks very pretty together.
I think this could be a nice card for Valentine's Day. I popped the heart out and used a piece of my homemade torn paper behind it.

Follow up on Christmas
This is the year we lost Christmas. At least I got the cards all posted and the packages wrapped before the flu hit. Apparently, spending several days in and out of the Birmingham Alabama VA Hospital isn't a healthy way to spend the holidays. We rounded it all out with time on the sofa and in bed after getting a confirmed flu diagnosis. The good news is with all the juicing and good eating we do, we suffered for only a little over 2 weeks fighting it off as opposed to the "normal" 5 to 6 weeks.
Sooo, moving on to finish up the blog for 2014, I am posting 3 tags I made for packages that I want to add to the MFP Color Challenge still going on until this Thursday (1-8-2015). I guess it actually ends on Wednesday but that still gives me time to put these up. And yes, they are gone, mailed on parcels that went out only 1 week after Christmas.
This Color Challenge #44 is for the colors burgundy, gold and green. A no brainer for Christmas right?! I wish my colors would come out more true than they do but I promise those 3 colors are on each tag.
Merry Christmas for all that enjoyed it. Happy New Year to start us all off well!
