So, mythical creatures is the call for the newest challenge for Craft Rocket. I found this little mermaid in my digi files by MilkCoffee.
She is colored with AquaColor Glitter Markers and in person has a lovely little shine and sparkle to her. The embossing folder is Tiny Bubbles by Cuttlebug. The 'seaweed' in the foreground is from my stash and the card stock is from my homemade blue paper.
Come along and play with us!
A friend taught me how to make paper. With the paper I joined a group to learn to produce cards. I will share cards I make and if I become really good :) I will share techniques and tips.
Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Thinking of YOU!
I've been so busy catching up on required cards for the DT that I haven't had fun doing a card to post in a challenge just for fun. This is a CAS, something I need to work on. Even though I would love to add more "stuff" to it, I will leave it alone and say less is more.
This was created using watercolor for the background color and misc. flower and sentiment stamps from my stash. The card stock is a pale purple from my home made paper. And I only added the one, simple embellishment.
I'm going to enter this in:
Outlawz Sunday CAS Challenge - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
CAS Mix Up - Mixed Media: Stamping+Watercolor+Your Choice (For me it is a die cut)
Thanks for coming by!

Card Holder
I belong to a great stamping group! At the last meeting, Debi showed us how to make a card holder. The idea is to make a few cards as a gift and use the folder we made to store the cards and envelopes, wrap it up and give it to someone. Pretty cool, right?
I took it a step further and adjusted the dimensions to fit my regular cards and this is my first card holder.
The first picture is the front and the second picture is the inside with a card inserted.
It's a practical, fun way to give cards as gifts. Thanks Debi!
Craft Rocket Challenges is starting a new challenge today. This is the 11th Challenge and the theme is Anything Goes. Come on over and play!

Furry Things
We have a new Challenge that starts today and runs for 2 weeks at Craft Rocket Challenges.
For the background I used an Embossing Folder from Lifestyle Crafts. I am still using items that I bought or received over Christmas for the first time. I love the look of this folder! I used it on a pale yellow sheet of handmade cardstock. The little character and matching paper is from a small paper stack by DCWV called "The Green Stack."
It is fun when a card just comes together and pieces are pulled from the years old stash! Come and join in the fun at CRC. The theme is for 'Feathers and/or Fur...Birds/Animals/Teddies.

Ballerina
Sometimes Clean and Simple (CAS) needs a background to make it pop. I love the way this card came together.
This was made by printing the dancer on a piece of watercolor paper. I printed 2 in case of a mistake but this first attempt turned out lovely using my watercolors.
The background paper was created using a Memory Box die cut called Stitched Lattice Background.
The image can be purchased from MorganFitzsimons.com. After arriving at the website, click on gallery to see the beautiful artwork.
Please join us at Unicorn Challenges with your own CAS creation!
